Dr. Dakun Sun gave an academic talk in Tsinghua University
On the evening of September 21, 2017, Dr. Dakun Sun from Beihang University came to Tsinghua University and gave an academic talk entitled “Research in Prediction of Flow Instability of Aero-Compressor and Advanced Control Methods”The talk is at the invitation of Professor Xinqian Zheng, the director of the Turbomachinery Laboratory at Tsinghua University.
Dr. Dakun Dun is giving report
Dr. Dakun Sun received Ph.D. degree from Beihang University in 2010, From 2010 to 2013, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He became a faculty in Beihang University in 2013 and mainly engaged in the theoretical evaluation and control of the flow stability of the impeller machine, He is the principal investigator of many projects. The projects are primarily funded by Natural Science Foundation of China/Youth Fund, Aviation Science Foundation, China Postdoctoral Science Fund and other funding, He published more than 10 papers in internationally prestigious journals, such as AIAA Journal of Propulsion and Power, ASME Journal of Fluids Engineering, ASME Journal of Turbomachinery.
In this talk, Dr. Dakun Sun showed his progress on the prediction of flow instability of compressors. Students attending to the talk raised questions about advanced flow control methods. After the talk, Dr. Dakun Sun and students had in-depth discussions. Students gave a lot of positive feedbacks to this interesting talk.
