W.Z Zou were awarded the title of "Beijing Outstanding Graduate"
Warm congratulations to W.Z Zou for winning the honorary title of Beijing Outstanding Graduate. This title is awarded to the doctoral and master graduate students who have achieved excellent results in their all-round development of morality, intelligence, physique, and aesthetics during their study in the university. This year, a total of 58 graduate students graduated from the School of Vehicle and Mobility, four of whom were awarded this title including Zou. We hope Zou will take this opportunity to make persistent efforts, and achieve even greater success in the future study and work.
During the master candidate period, under the guidance of Professor Zheng, Zou mainly carried out research on the improved design for high and hot performance of turboshaft engines, so as to enhance the actual operational performance of turboshaft engines under high and hot environment. Zou published 2 SCI-indexed journal papers and 1 EI-indexed journal paper, and applied 4 invention patents, one of which was authorized. Besides, Zou served as the party branch secretary and organization secretary in his class. Due to outstanding performance, Zou has successively won the outstanding member of Communist Party in Tsinghua University, and National Scholarship for graduate student. After graduation, he entered the Institute for Aero Engine in Tsinghua University to study for his doctorate, under the supervision of Professor Zheng.
Since 2012, Professor Zheng has supervised more than 20 doctoral and master students, and more than ten graduates have won honors such as "Tsinghua University Outstanding Graduate", "Excellent Thesis of Tsinghua University", or “Beijing Outstanding Graduate”.
